(आयुष मंत्रालय,भारत सरकार के अधीन एक स्वायत्त संस्थान)
(An Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India)
It is a matter of great pride for me to serve as the Director of the National Institute of Homoeopathy—an institution where I was once a student and which continues to shape the future of Homoeopathy in India.
Having completed 50 years of excellence, the Institute stands as a symbol of quality education, dedicated research, and compassionate patient care. Our greatest strength is the trust of patients who rely on us every day for safe and affordable treatment. Our OPD serves nearly 2,000 patients daily, with attendance exceeding 4,000 on peak days, reflecting the immense public confidence in our services.
The Institute has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence in Metabolic Disorders, reflecting our focused efforts in addressing emerging health challenges such as diabetes, obesity, and lifestyle-related diseases through Homoeopathy.
With our main campus in Kolkata and a satellite centre in Narela, Delhi, we are steadily expanding our reach while maintaining high standards in medical education, clinical training, and healthcare delivery.
The Institute has entered into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute to advance collaborative research. In addition, we actively conduct public outreach programmes throughout the year to promote awareness and extend our healthcare services to the community.
As an alumnus, I carry a deep sense of responsibility towards further strengthening this institution. Our focus remains on improving patient care services, promoting evidence-based research, and developing skilled Homoeopathic professionals to serve both the nation and the global community.
I invite all stakeholders—patients, students, faculty, and well-wishers—to be part of this journey as we move forward with renewed commitment and a clear vision for the future.
Sarve bhavantu sukhinah, sarve santu niramayah.
